At the age of 41, nurse Dave Hergenrader found that his energy and joy for life had waned and his relationships were suffering.
“For over 3 years, I struggled to concentrate at work, muster the energy to play with my kids, and get excited about family activities on the weekends. My family got whatever was left of me at the end of a workday, which wasn’t much. It was my lowest season physically, emotionally, and relationally. I just had no energy.
During his clinical training, Dave found himself working alongside a provider offering testosterone replacement therapy to male patients.
“The provider was asking the questions of other guys and I found myself thinking, ‘Yeah, that’s me! That’s what I’m experiencing, too.’ I got tested that week and discovered that I had the testosterone levels of an 80-year-old man!”
Within weeks of beginning testosterone replacement therapy, Dave’s energy increased, his sleep quality improved, and he began losing weight. Dave also recalls that relationships with his friends and family began to flourish.
“When you’re constantly exhausted and disengaged, that’s hard on relationships. My family began to notice changes right away when I started hormone therapy.”
Dave opened Foundation Family Health with a vision to serve men and women who have lost hope in the medical system. He’s committed to helping patients find alternative treatments and rebuild their health so they can reclaim what they care about most–their passion, energy, and relationships.
If you’re struggling with your health and feeling frustrated, defeated, and dismissed by other attempts to resolve your symptoms, Dave has a message for you.
“Testosterone Replacement Therapy changed everything for me. If you haven’t found the answers you need yet, let’s sit down and talk. No pressure, no expectations: just an open conversation about your health journey."
